In this webinar Lockheed will discuss development of a corporate level renewable energy procurement approach that aligns with the company's overarching energy procurement program. This has included analysis of opportunities to reduce short and long-term costs, minimize exposure to fuel or electricity price risks, and align with federal customer renewable energy requirements. The webinar will share the process Lockheed has undertaken as well as some of the outcomes of their renewable energy work.

Integrating Renewable Energy into the Energy Portfolio at Lockheed Martin

In this webinar Lockheed will discuss development of a corporate level renewable energy procurement approach that aligns with the company's overarching energy procurement program. This has included analysis of opportunities to reduce short and long-term costs, minimize exposure to fuel or electricity price risks, and align with federal customer renewable energy requirements. Speakers:

Samantha Baker - Climate Change and Renewable Energy Specialist and ACCO Future CCOs Fellow, Lockheed Martin

Samantha Baker is an ACCO Future CCO’s Fellow working as a Climate Change and Renewable Energy Specialist for Lockheed Martin within the Corporate Energy, Environment, Safety and Health (CEESH) organization. In this role, Sam is responsible for examining the business case for renewable energy procurement at both the corporate and individual site level to support Lockheed Martin’s overarching carbon reduction goals. Her work focuses on opportunities to reduce short and long-term costs, minimize exposure to fuel or electricity price risks, and align with federal customer renewable energy requirements. Sam holds Bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Environmental Studies from Carleton College, and a Masters of Environmental Science and Management from the University of California - Santa Barbara. 

Scott Stallard - Sr. Manager, Environmental Sustainability, Lockheed Martin

Scott Stallard is the Senior Manager of Environmental Stewardship within the Corporate Energy, Environment, Safety and Health (CEESH) organization at Lockheed Martin.   In this role, Scott is responsible for environmental stewardship strategy development (including a corporate-wide renewable energy strategy), external reporting, product stewardship activities, and business facilitation of sustainable products.   Scott has over 20 years of experience at Lockheed Martin and its predecessor companies.  Before taking on his current position in 2010, Scott held various financial positions throughout much of his career including six years as the Business Manager for CEESH where he focused on remediation and overall strategy.  Scott served a lead role as part of the team that launched the corporation’s Go Green program in 2008.   Scott holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Maryland at College Park.
